Recent Thoughts...

I am a product of the South, made for every city, and destined for global greatness.

In a nation occupied by 9 to 5 jobs, the internet, cellular phones, and selfishness the term "family time" is ceasing to exist. No longer are there family vacations and annual camping trips, parents are sending their children to other continents with chaperones they've known for a few months. Mothers become upset with their sons when they come home with STD's. Fathers are absolutely appalled when their daughters announce to them that they dream to have a baby at 16 with hopes to emulate the life of Juno. But parents are so engaged in business trips that they are oblivious to the fact that their 14 year old miiight need the sex talk. Up until my mom lost her engineering job [Buck Fush] she'd buy me something damn near every weekend. It was apparent that I only recieved these gifts because I refused to confide in her. Now that she has lost that GREAT paying job we converse even less because she is "hustling for my future" she calls it. So from first hand experience, the Economy is not the American families downfall... What is? As a parent what will you do? Are you looking for love in other places because your parents time is consumed by thier careers? Hmmm, if we put parents and their kids together for conversation an hour a day would our problem be solved?

-ps. i adore Juno but by no means do i believe her life is admirable...
